Suspension setup is the single most important factor in dirt track race car performance. A properly set up car will be faster, more consistent, and easier to drive than one with even the best engine but poor suspension tuning.
The panhard bar controls lateral movement of the rear axle. Its height and angle affect how the car transitions through corners. Generally, a lower panhard bar creates more side bite, while a higher bar creates a looser, more free-feeling car.
Radius rods control the fore-aft movement of the rear axle. Their length and angle affect how the car accelerates off the corners. Longer radius rods generally provide more forward bite, while shorter rods create a more responsive feel.
