Installing UltraFlex coilovers is a straightforward process that most racers can complete in a few hours with basic tools. However, proper installation is critical for both performance and safety.
Before beginning installation, gather all necessary tools: a floor jack, jack stands, torque wrench, and the hardware included with your coilover kit. Read through the entire installation guide before starting.
Start by safely lifting and supporting the vehicle. Always use proper jack stands — never work under a vehicle supported only by a floor jack.
Remove the existing shock absorber and spring assembly. Take note of the orientation and any spacers or adapters that may be present.
Install the new UltraFlex coilover assembly, ensuring all mounting hardware is properly seated. Torque all fasteners to the specifications provided in your kit documentation.
After installation, perform a thorough inspection of all connections before lowering the vehicle. Take the car for a slow test run before returning to race conditions.
